Sales Engineer

The Doble Lemke Group, part of the Doble Engineering Company, is currently seeking a Sales Engineer for our Rheinfelden, Switzerland office. The Sales Engineer should be a goal-oriented individual who will work as part of a worldwide team of sales professionals with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide sales support to international sales activity for high voltage supplies, test equipment and condition monitoring systems
• Prepare price calculations and quotations to customers and negotiate commercial terms and conditions
• Provide customers product information including specifications and support documents
• Prepare and deliver sales quotations for new and renewal sales
• Identify and seek out new customers through cold calls, referrals and business intelligence
• Retain customers by developing relationships and understanding their requirements and needs
• Ensure Doble is represented at industry expos
• Make sales presentations to potential customers and at conferences

The ideal candidate has:

• At least 3 to 5 years of demonstrated successful sales experience, meeting both sales and retention targets, specialized in High Voltage and Power Systems
• An Electrical Engineering academic background specialized in High Voltage and Power Systems; ideally a registered engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in marketing activities, including attending utility or equipment supplier trade shows
• Experience in making sales and technical presentations
• Problem solving ability; creative resolution and innovative solutions
• Strong new prospect identification and cold calling skills
• Relationship building skills
• A sound knowledge of the HV testing marketplace
• A history of developing a successful sales plan
• The ability to work independently in a small team environment
• The ability to travel internationally up to 30%
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
• A history of professional behavior, high personal responsibility and cost awareness

On-Site Service Engineer

 The successful candidate as an On-Site Service Engineer will be responsible for, field testing, field installation of equipment and providing solutions based assessments throughout the UK and other international locations.

THE MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform field service jobs for customers, including HV electrical testing.
• Commissioning of high voltage measuring, diagnosis and monitoring systems.
• Commissioning of products, including installation on site and completion reports.
• Write technical reports on the results of testing and inspection of the customer site using results of testing/monitoring, research and personal expertise.
• Provide customer service actions that result in meeting the customer’s requests with full satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the service process and maintain an ongoing dialogue with all assigned clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate engineer (university or technical college) or technician in electrical engineering or industrial engineer.
• Experience in the field of high voltage technology (testing and diagnosis.)
• Must be able to travel throughout the UK and as necessary overseas.
• Have a successful history of providing excellent customer service.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal). Fluency in additional languages (verbally and written) such as Spanish, French, and Arabic would be helpful.

• Experience in sales activities
• Experience working at a utility company.
• Current or prior experience working with Doble testing and monitoring equipment would be an advantage.

RENUMERATION

Basic salary £25-30k + company vehicle + benefits which include pension, life assurance, vouchers and more.
