DES Sales Engineer

Doble Engineering Company currently has a position open for a DES ("Doble Engineered Strategies") Sales Engineer. As a business development engineer working in the DES Group, you will have the primary responsibility of promoting, developing and securing projects in support of he DES Service portfolio.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for assisting in the success and revenue growth of the Doble Services Program (Consulting Engineering Services and International Consulting Engineering Services Programs)
• Directly responsible for developing and expanding opportunities for DES in the U.S. and international markets through close coordination with the DES General Manager. This involves making presentations (in person, phone, or written communication), interfacing with current and potential clients, and approximately 50% travel
• Meet or exceed defined annual sales quotas
• Assure that customers in the assigned territory are fully satisfied
• Generate monthly and annual sales forecasts and market projections
• Interface with and direct field activities of Client Service Engineers and DES Engineers as required to assure customer satisfaction in the assigned territory

The Ideal candidate has:

• Four-year college or university degree with major course work in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Marketing; OR a combination of experience, education and training equivalent to a four-year degree in the above areas
• Minimum if five years experience in the electric power industry, preferably in technical ales, marketing or application support
• Strong solutions selling orientation directed to customer applications
• Ability to present products and services with high technical content
• Express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
• Ability to independently plan and organize one's own activities
• Travel within assigned territory up to 50% of time as needed

Transformer Engineers

Transformer Engineers will work as specialists within the DES ("Doble Engineered Strategies") group and will be responsible for Transformer consulting projects and authoring several technical reports.

Transformer Engineer - Domestic

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide consulting at transformer manufacturing facilities including manufacturing inspections, test witnessing and forensic tear downs
• Provide engineering support and write condition transformer assessment reports
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, well-written reports
• Participate in company sponsored events including the Annual Client Conference and Committee Meetings, general sessions, user group meetings and meeting with clients
• Provide DES sales support to prospective customers

The ideal candidate has:

• Experience in transformer manufacturing, electric utility or related industry
• PE license is desirable

Software Engineer

Doble Engineering Company currently has an opening for a Software Engineer. This employee will assume development responsibilities for an existing VB6 application. The application is for the control of test and measurement instruments for the Electric Utility industry. Responsibilities to include functional enhancements and bug fixes.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing time lines for projects
• Participate as a team member on development projects
• Provides project updates to project management
• Participates in regularly scheduled and ad hoc project team meetings
• Follows proper processes for code and build management
• Identifies potential options to designs when appropriate
• Identifies any potential product risks to the product project team and/or project management

The ideal candidate has:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, OR a combination of experience, education and training equivalent to a four-year degree in the above areas
• 3+ years experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 6 developing in VB6
• Experience in Microsoft Visual Source Safe
• Experience developing interfaces to test and measurement equipment
• 5+ years  engineering experience in software development

Field Engineer

Client Service Field Engineers are responsible for performing diagnostic tests, data analysis and report writing for the DES ("Doble Engineered Strategies") Group. Engineers will also support clients of the Doble Service Program, development programs in the engineering department and the Doble International Client Conference, and its committee structure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform on-site field tests on substations and plant equipment
• Provide engineering support and written reports on the interpretation of measured data
• Related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate has:

•  B.S. degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field OR a combination of experience, education and training equivalent to a four-year degree in the above areas
• Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
• Independently plan and organize one's own activities
• Domestic and International travel required (50%)
• Familiarity with operations or maintenance of power plant or heavy industrial electrical machinery is desired

Corporate Communications Analyst

The Corporate Communications Analyst position is ideal for an individual with a strong knowledge of international markets. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Communications.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in the development of annual Corporate Communications plans, including the support needs for Client Services, Marketing and Product Management departments
• Assist in the development of Corporate Communications campaigns for marketing initiatives in international locations and the management of day to day project logistics and project budgets
• Act as primary contact person in regards to international marketing efforts and liaison with outside vendors, event management and print management
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of new department policies and processes to improve the efficiency and consistency of communication efforts
• Develop Corporate Communications programs and associated sales tools for marketing efforts in the international market
• Build an understanding of the business opportunities for company instruments and knowledge services sales in the international market

Client Service Engineer

Client Service Engineers provide high-level engineering support to international clients of the Doble Service Program. Engineers also perform substation apparatus testing and support Doble International Client Conferences and their committee structure.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support on operating procedures and problems related to Doble products
• Provide support on non-Doble test procedures
• Provide engineering support and written reports on the interpretation of data measured by Doble products
• Provide training to clients to clients on the use of Doble products and the interpretation of data collected

Field Engineers

As a Field Engineer you will be responsible for providing engineering support for Doble PowerTest (DPT) testing and consulting services. You will assist senior test engineers during site HV testing as well as carry out site testing independently when necessary. Experience is preferable but not essential as training can be provided.  

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide site testing services for DPT projects
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and maintained 
• Ensure working areas under DPT's control are clean and free of any Health & Safety Issues
• Provide engineering support and written reports on the interpretation of site work 
• Provide engineering support to other departments within Doble where necessary
• Act as a "Doble representative" and advocate for the client as you will be the a main interface with customers
• Domestic and international travel required on short notice therefore you must be willing to work away from home on a regular basis
• Perform related duties as assigned

Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position is ideal for an individual with a strong knowledge of accounting. This position is based in the Marlborough office.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing reports including account reconciliations
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports summarizing company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past and present operations
• Assists in the preparation of budgets and analysis of monthly variances
• Monthly analysis for cost of sales and inventory transactions
• Prepares monthly reports for Corporate, including working with internal and external auditing staff
• Financial accounting and reporting for all Doble foreign subsidiaries and analysis of variances
• Provide backup for all levels of Accounting staff
