Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I made some changes to my presentation on the plane. Can I use this presentation instead of the one I submitted by October 7, 2011?

A: Last minute changes to your power point presentation will be accepted only under the condition of Doble reviewing it prior to loading it onto our system. Please be aware that there will no pportunity to review your presentation onsite. Please refrain from making changes to your presentation after the submission deadline. Submission deadline for your presentation is October 7, 2011.

Q: I am aware that I have an opportunity to give a brief introduction about myself and my company right before my technical presentation to the audience. How much time do I have?

A: Prepare a short biography to serve as your presentation introduction. Keep your biography short - something that can be read aloud in one to three minutes. When you prepare your biography, make sure it answers the question: “Why am I qualified to speak on this subject?” Company information should be only presented during your first slide of your presentation. Please be sure to keep it short.

Q: Can I use my company’s PowerPoint template? Can I distribute literature about my company?

A: Though you’ll have a chance to mention your company during your presentation when giving a short self-introduction, please keep in mind that it is the intent of this event to present strictly technical content for the benefit of the attendees. Displays and the distribution of flyers or handouts are not permitted.
PowerPoint presentations can ONLY contain commercial logos, corporate identifiers, etc ON THE TITLE PAGE. No additional commercial graphics, logos, or identifiers are allowed in the presentation.
Please refrain from including promotional material in your paper, and avoid the depiction of addresses and telephone/fax numbers in the paper, and in particular, in visuals used during the presentation of the paper. Rest assured that your information will be provided in the seminar binder in the speaker information section. (Please be sure to fill out the complete Presenter information when registering online.) Note: We encourage all presenters to consider exhibiting at the seminar trade show where commercial promotion is expected! A standard booth costs $2,000 if you are staying at the Westin Diplomat, and $2,500 if you are staying at another property. For more information about the seminar go here
