A Message for 2008 Seminar Participants:

The Doble team is already down in Florida awaiting your arrival! We have a great technical program and a wonderful week of activities ready for you.

Important - please check in and pick up your name badge and seminar materials - beat the Monday morning rush!
The Doble Registration & Information Booth will be located on the Ground Level of the Buena Vista Palace Convention Center in the Great Hall Assembly. Come during the following hours to get checked in for the Seminar!

We will be open:

Saturday, February 16^th from 2 pm – 7 pm

Sunday, February 17^th from 8 am – 5 pm

Monday – Friday (February 18^th – 22^nd) from 6 am – 6 pm

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to seminar attendees daily. We apologize, but we cannot extend the meals invitation to attendee spouses, children and exhibitors - unless they are seminar students.

Breakfast will be served from 6:00 am – 7:30 am starting on Monday, in the Great Hall Assembly room, located on the ground floor of the Convention Center.

If you have any dietary restrictions please let the Doble Registration team know!

Airport Shuttle Service:

For those flying in to Orlando International Airport: Mears Motor Shuttle has offered Doble Seminar attendees a discounted rate of $ 29.00 on round trip travel to and from the Buena Vista Palace (or many other local hotels).

You can also take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, which will cost about $ 50 - $ 60 one way and will take 30 – 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Activities for Spouses & Children of Seminar attendees

Are you bringing a companion or family with you to Florida?

We are hosting a Companion Meet & Greet on Monday the 18^th from 10am – 11am in the Outback Restaurant Veranda on the first floor. Join us for an opportunity to get acquainted with other Seminar companions. An Orlando area representative will introduce everyone to the local attractions, interests, restaurants, and shopping. The Buena Vista Palace Spa will also give a brief overview of all their relaxing and rejuvenating services available to you.

You and your family are invited to watch the movie classic Titanic on twin screens on Sunday from 7:00 – 10:00pm in the Great Hall Room on the Ground Floor. No need to register – just show up! Sponsored by ABB.

Companions are invited to attend the Manufacturer’s Exposition on Monday from 5:30pm – 8:00pm as well as the GE Factory Tour and dinner on Wednesday. If your companions would like to attend the GE Tour please let us know either by emailing events@doble.com or by telling us at the Registration Desk when you check-in.

The Buena Vista Palace is located across the street from Downtown Disney – a village full of shops such as World of Disney, Lego Imagination Center, Harley Davidson, etc; unique and fun restaurants like Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck, Rainforest Café, Fulton’s Crab House, and more; and the world-class entertainment of Cirque Du Soleil, House of Blues, and Hard Rock Concert Hall.

Complimentary shuttle run multiple times daily to and from all the Disney Theme Parks for the Buena Vista Palace. There are also several other shuttles that run to the additional attractions in the area such as SeaWorld and Universal, please call the hotel concierge for more information at 407-827-3225.

Industry Expo
In conjunction with "The Life of a Transformer Seminar," Doble Engineering Company is sponsoring the Life of a Transformer Industry Expo for organizations with related products and service offerings.
