2008 EuroDoble Colloquium
 Share What You KnowLearn What You Don’tDoble Europe is proud to announce the 14th annual EuroDoble Colloquium. This year’s meeting will be in a Mediterranean coastal hotel in the southern region of Spain and has been expanded to be packed full of options for the utility engineer in maintenance or asset management, together with their suppliers.
This is a forum for sharing best practices with lifetime care of assets in power systems, power stations & industrial sites including:
ProgrammeAsset and Maintenance Management:
Sessions with key papers, but focusing on the audience contributing experiences and identifying best practices in the lifetime care of the infrastructure assets. Main themes of these sessions include Optimising Lifetime Costing and Operating Expenditure & Implementing Risk management processes.
High Voltage Equipment:
A session for audience presentations sharing experience gained from diagnostic investigations and implementing new maintenance practices or unusual experiences found.
NEW! Protection:
A new two-day session that includes expert presentations leading to audience reviews. This will allow a sharing of experiences focused on some of the new protection environments such as: IEC 61850, integration of all site data, protection and testing of wind power sites, DC converter stations and particularly the integration issues of such systems into a traditional AC network.
Utility-Only High Voltage Session:
Utilities and testing companies can share their experiences relating to plant performance. Due to popular demand, this year will have an extra focus on current transformer failures.
NEW! Training:
Two and a half days devoted to Training! One day is for protection engineers who wish to update their protection test implications from the new environments. One day and a half of training will be for HV test engineers and is suitable for both new entrants and those with some experience.

Costs
Hotel
The host hotel is the Hotel Torrequebrada in Benalmádena-Costa, Spain. Doble has received a group rate of 115 € for a single room and 129 € for a double room. Rooms include a buffet breakfast. The room price excludes a 7% VAT. This year's Colloquium will be held at Hotel Torrequebrada which is situated in a privileged spot at the shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
