DOBLE ENGINEERING CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

Earn Continuing Education Credits when attending Doble Seminars and Conferences.

What are Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)?

Doble Engineering is an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) through the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is defined as ten hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.

Continuing Education Credits provide a permanent record of the educational accomplishments of an individual who has completed one or more significant non-credit educational experiences. Awarding the IACET CEUs also provides a quality indicator for your continuing education and training programs because it means you have been reviewed and approved for complying with internationally recognized standards. CEUs are issued at all Doble Seminars and Conferences that meet the IACET standards.

Accept No Imitations!

Don’t be fooled by other “CEUs”!
Other organizations or events may say they offer CEUs. Be sure to check and be sure that their CEUs indeed qualify in your state or for your desired purpose.

Doble’s IACET certification means that the CEUs we offer meet the ANSI standard and are the most widely accepted by state professional engineering licensing boards and educational institutes.

What is the InternationaI Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET)?

IACET has developed standards for continuing education and training for almost 40 years and is known as the premier standard-setting organization for continuing education and training providers.  In 2007, IACET was approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a Standards Developer.  What was formerly IACET Criteria & Guidelines are now ANSI/IACET Standards.  This gives IACET Authorized Providers (APs) a considerable advantage over their non-authorized competitors.

Where are CEUs Accepted?

Continuing Education credits are widely accepted by colleges and educational institutions as official credits towards professional licensing requirements and degree programs. As the organization's name implies, the CEUs can be offered for classes held anywhere in the world, provided the event meets IACET criteria.

How are CEUs Calculated?

One IACET CEU is awarded for each ten clock hours (sixty-minutes=one clock hour) of instruction hours involved in the program. Instructional hours do not include time involved in coffee breaks, meals, social activities or business and committee meetings.

What are “Learning Outcomes”?

A Learning Outcome is a clear statement of behaviors expected of an attendee as a result of a learning experience.
Doble will notify participants of the expected Learning Outcomes for an event via email, written documents or posting this information on the Doble web site. All event attendees are eligible to obtain IACET CEUs for any qualifying class they attend. For each event that is offering CEU credits, the monitoring standards for the event will be defined and determined when the event is reviewed by Doble. Participants of every event will be reminded of how to receive the CEU credits on-site at the event.

How do I know if the Learning Outcomes are met?

In order to earn CEUs for a seminar, participants must meet the following requirements:
- In-person attendance for the complete class-time
- Completion of a quiz on the topics presented with a required minimum accuracy
- Completion of a class evaluation
Each class will have different specifics of how a quiz is given and the required accuracy.

All participants wishing to earn IACET CEUs must matt all three of the above criteria. Each participant who takes the final quiz will be notified by e-mail as to whether or not they passed the seminar quiz. Participants who do not pass the quiz will have the opportunity to re-test within two weeks of Pass/Fail notification. The re-test will include different questions than the original exam.

How can I obtain a record of my received Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) from Doble?

All event participants can obtain their CEU credit records by contacting events@doble.com.

Doble will retain records of attendance at CEU events electronically indefinitely. This information will only be released to the attendee themselves or at the request of their company. In order to obtain a copy of your transcript participants must submit a written request in order to obtain their records (email is acceptable). Request will NOT be taken over the phone! If someone other than the actual participant requests information, the participant in question will be notified to obtain approval before the request is honored.
