At the recent International Conference of Doble Clients, Doble announced the release of several new solutions. These new products, updates and initiatives are designed to meet the current and future needs of Doble clients and our industry as a whole.

Doble Asset Risk Management System (ARMS)
The Doble Asset Risk Management System (ARMS) provides active on-line assessment of high-value assets and is the industry’s first on-line monitoring and risk management platform that goes beyond condition-based maintenance. Doble ARMS is a real-time event notification system built around a sophisticated suite of analytical tools designed to manage, integrate and analyze data. Doble is partnering with a select number of utilities around the world to launch ARMS and further develop its capabilities and is not currently available for general sale.

PD-Smart
The PD-Smart is the next generation solution for periodic partial discharge testing, making PD testing easy and accessible, while using the latest in digital signal processing and sensor technology. The PD-Smart is fully compatible with IEEE and IEC international standards and works with a wide variety of high voltage apparatus to include transformers, rotating machines, switchgear, GIS and cables. Coupled with over 40 years of ground-breaking experience in PD, Doble can offer both the experience and technology on Partial Discharge testing. Key features include:

LCM 500
Doble is pleased to announce the LCM500, a new instrument for online monitoring of surge arresters, which is designed to assess the condition of insulated base metal oxide surge arresters in transmission and distribution lines through leakage current measurements. It is wireless and gives readings within seconds for immediate diagnostics or trending data.

Doble Protection Suite Software
Doble Protection Suite, the next-generation of protection testing software, offers users a wide range of flexibility and options for their testing needs. Key features include:

• Improved user interface with ProTesT macros at your fingertips
• Ability to read files directly to get settings
• Easy to integrate test plans and interactive report generation
• Simple conversion of ProTesT database with just a few clicks
• Powerful and enhanced state simulation

Doble ProTesT Web
Connecting field users of ProTesT Web with the home office, ProTesT Web offers a centralized database for critical information, message notifications and data transfer. ProTesT Web is an effective solution for simple and easy NERC reporting and overall management of protection assets. Key features include:

• Centralized database stored on your server or Doble hosted server
• Simple data merging for downloads and uploads
• Ability to set security levels to limit access
• Various querying options for NERC reporting
• Messaging and notifications for both local and global broadcasts
  

Client Services Program for Protection & Control Test Equipment
For many years, Doble has offered its clients a unique package of services combined with our apparatus insulation test equipment. Now available is a new Client Services program for protection & control test equipment services designed specifically for relay engineers and technicians. The program is offered with or without an equipment lease option and features:

• Relay test plan consulting
• Access to the International Protection Testing Users Group (PTUG)
• Annual on-site training
• Perpetual equipment warranty (only with equipment lease)
• Annual instrument calibration
• All software upgrades

Doble Client Used Equipment Exchange
Doble has always been the facilitator of knowledge sharing between our Clients. Now you have a place to share surplus equipment and spares. Introducing a new site contained within the Doble Client Portal where you can post or search for excess equipment, eliminating your surplus stock and finding what our client family has on hand to help you minimize downtime.
