The 101st Doble Survey on Transformer Oils

The 2008 Survey (Report No. 101) consisted of the analysis of thirty-eight electrical insulating mineral oils. It included samples of thirteen North American oils, one South American oil, seven European oils and seventeen from Asia. Testing of each of the thirty-eight samples included in this survey was performed in accordance with the Doble Transformer Oil Purchase Specification (TOPS) as revised and approved, April 2008. A copy of this edition of TOPS is included with this report. The documents that comprise the Survey are valuable tools in assessing the quality of oils which you may be considering for use or may provide information on a supplier that you are not aware of or you may be considering for use in the future.

The 101 Survey report consists of four (4) documents including:

1. A document that reports on the oils tested, compares the testing from this year to last year, refiners' comments and lists contact information for the refiner.
   
2. Summary sheets of the testing results for each oil so that easy comparisons can be make between products and refiners.
   
3. Individual test result sheets that provides the results of all the testing performed on each oil that will provide you the most comprehensive overview in the industry worldwide.
   
4. The Doble TOPS specification to which these oils were tested.
