Motor Testing

Doble will examine the current state of your motors, and recommend the best course of action to optimize your assets and extend the life of your motors. There are many cases when a simple on-line partial discharge is possible for performing the tests.

Doble's Motor Testing capabilities include:

Vibration monitoring

A simple routine test to indicate unusual vibration levels.

IMCA tests for induction motors

This test is performed on induction motors. The Induction Motor Current Analyzer (IMCA) is used to detect rotor broken bars. This is an on-line test: the input to the analyzer is obtained from an electrically isolated clip on probe coupled to the motor current metering circuit.
