DTA Web 1.2

DTAWeb Version 1.2 is the next release of DTAWeb. It is the next generation of the DTA Office System, replacing DTAOffice v4.4.

DTAWeb v1.1 added support for SFRA data, Oil lab data, integration with the Doble Materials Lab, and the ability to attach arbitrary files to apparatus in the database.

DTAWeb v1.2 adds Trouble and Failure Management, Graphing in Excel, Including Benchmark data in Tabulations, Generating Company/Division/Location files from the data in the database, The ability to load a DTAF file, and export it as SFRA (and vice versa), and the ability to move apparatus from one database to another. In addition, the manual has been integrated as a help file.

DTAWeb is compatible with files in the DTAF xml format. Any existing CDS files must be converted to XML before loading into DTAWeb. A utility named convertcds.exe is provided below to convert entire folders of CDS files to XML without going through DTAF. The convertcds.exe program MUST be saved in your DTAF program folder to operate properly.

To install DTAWeb, Microsoft .net v1.1 must be installed on your computer. If the installation program does not detect Microsoft .net 1.1, it will direct you as to where you can download and install it.

DTAWeb requires you to have a username and password to connect to the database. The username and password used are the same as used for the Doble Portal login. Please contact your Doble principal engineer to obtain a username and password.

The DTAWeb application is listed below as DTAWeb12.exe, which is a self-extracting file requiring a password to open. The manual is also a self-extracting file, which requires the same password as the DTAWeb application. To obtain the password contact your Doble principal engineer. Also available is the CDS to XML conversion program. Note that this program must be saved into the DTAF program folder for proper operation!
