F2250 Firmware 4.18 Upgrade

F225x Firmware_4.18.zip contains all the necessary files to perform a firmware upgrade for the F225x Family of Power system Simulators. The file contains the floaddos application for sending files to the F225x as well as the necessary firmware update files. There is also a ReadMe.txt file that contains instructions on how to correctly use these files to create a succesful firmware upgrade.

F6x Firmware 4.28.2

F6000 firmware versions 4.28.2 adds features, notably IEC61850 GSE improvements and capability to configure the start delay of an F6150 instrument. Please review the marketing release notice for the list of features and fixed problems. Version 4.28.2 supports only the CPU2 F6000 instruments. CPU2 instruments contain 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector/s while the older CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector.

Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware version 4.28.2 is recommended for the following Doble software revisions:

  • ProTesT Version 2.06 or higher
  • F6TesT Version 2.18 or higher
  • F6MeterControlPanel Version 2.10 or higher
  • Transwin Version 3.0 or higher
  • F6000 Control Panel Version 2.0 or higher

The zip file contains a copy of the Marketing Release notice under the folder labeled Doble Documentation and 2 firmware files. One for the F6150 and F6150A instruments labeled "F6150-CPU2.pkg". A second for the F6300 instruments labeled "F6300-CPU2.pkg”.

F6x Firmware 4.25

F6000 firmware versions 4.25 corrects problems with the earlier versions and adds new features, notably support for IEC61850 GSE messaging. Firmware version 4.25 supports only the CPU2 F6000 instruments. CPU2 instruments contain a 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector while the older CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector.

Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware version 4.25 is recommended for the following Doble software revisions

  • ProTesT Version 2.05.1 or higher
  • F6TesT Version 2.18 or higher
  • F6MeterControlPanel Version 2.10 or higher
  • Transwin Version 2.05 or higher
  • F6000 Control Panel Version 2.0 or higher

Please note that earlier software versions have compatibility issues and some features may not function properly.

F6000 firmware, versions 2.22 and 4.22 corrects problems with the earlier versions and adds new features. The CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector and CPU2 instruments contain a 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector.

Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware versions 2.22 and 4.22 are required for the following Doble software revisions

  • ProTesT Version 2.03 or higher
  • F6TesT Version 2.14 or higher
