F6080 Version 2

F6080 calibration software version 2 with calibration unit permits the field calibration of F6150 or F6150A Power System Simulators. The F6080 field calibration system is an effective way to keep your Power System Simulators properly calibrated on site without having to send the instruments back to Doble for calibration.

The new feature in version 2 allows calibration of the system frequency. The use of a 10 kHz filter supplied by Doble is recommended for frequency measurements. To obtain the 10 kHz filter please contact your Doble engineer or send an e-mail to fserieshelp@doble.com .

F6080 Version 1

F6080 version 1 software with calibration unit permits the field calibration of F2151, 2, or 3 and F2251, 2, or 3 Power System Simulators. F2250 Firmware 4.19 Upgrade

F2250-4.19.zip contains all the necessary files to perform a firmware upgrade for the F225x Family of Power system Simulators. The file contains the floaddos application for sending files to the F225x as well as the necessary firmware update files. There is also a ReadMe.txt file that contains instructions on how to correctly use these files to create a succesful firmware upgrade.

F6x Firmware 2.23 and 4.27

F6000 firmware, versions 2.23 and 4.27 corrects problems with the earlier versions and adds new features. Firmware version 2.23 supports the CPU1 F6000 instruments and Firmware version 4.27 supports the CPU2 F6000 instruments. The CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector and CPU2 instruments contain a 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector.

Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware version 2.23 and 4.27 are recommended for the following Doble software revisions

Please note that earlier software versions may have compatibility issues and some features may not function properly.

 

Each zip file contains a copy of the Marketing Release notice and 3 firmware files. One for the F6150 and F6150A instruments labeled “F6150.pkg”. A second for the F6300 instruments labeled “F6300.pkg”. A third for F6150 instruments with specially modified Analog Input Boards labeled “F6350.pkg”. The CPU2 firmware files contain the words CPU2 in the file name. CPU1 firmware files do not contain the CPU type in the name.

F6x Firmware 4.25

F6000 firmware versions 4.25 corrects problems with the earlier versions and adds new features, notably support for IEC61850 GSE messaging. Firmware version 4.25 supports only the CPU2 F6000 instruments. CPU2 instruments contain a 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector while the older CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector.

Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware version 4.25 is recommended for the following Doble software revisions

USB Driver For The New F6150 (CPU2) Front Panel

The new F6150 units have a different front panel layout with three Ethernet ports and one USB port. The older F1650 units had one Ethernet port and one RS232 port.

 

The Ethernet ports on the new F6150 units do not require a crossover cable for communication. The USB port on the F6150 will make it easier to communicate in a serial mode without having to use an external RS232-USB adapter. The USB port on the F6150 will be functional once you load the driver that is provided below in the USB-Driver.zip file.

 

 

The cable needed for communicating via USB port is provided with the new F6150 units and also with retrofit kits required for performing the replacement of the old front panel with the new ones.

F6Meter Control Panel 2.10
