F6080 Version 3F6080 software version 3 with calibration unit permits the field calibration of F6150 or F6150A Power System Simulators. The F6080 field calibration system is an effective way to keep your Power System Simulators properly calibrated on site without having to send the instruments back to Doble for calibration. The use of a 10 kHz filter supplied by Doble is recommended for frequency measurements. To obtain the 10 kHz filter please contact your Doble engineer or send an e-mail to fserieshelp@doble.com. The new feature in version 3 allows selection of a single range input channel sequence or an All range input channels sequence for carrying out AIM calibration. F6 Multiple Amplifier Configurator SoftwarePassword Protected - Current Registered F6XX instrument Users Only F6 Multiple Amplifier Configurator is a software for configuring and controlling several F6 amplifiers (F6350 and F6300). The software is hosted on one computer and can control/configure up to 16 amplifiers. Configuration of amplifiers is required to enable correct amplification of the low level signals that are provided by a host simulator such as the RTDS (Real Time Digital Simulator). The amplified signal must be of the correct magnitude based on conversion factors that are selected as part of the configuration process. The configuration software configures both the AC analog outputs of the amplifiers and also the battery output of the F6350s. Since F6300 does not have a battery, it cannot be configured for battery output. This software can run on both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems. Protection Suite 1.0Password Protected - Current Registered ProTesT Users Only Protection Suite is a graphical and highly automated software application for protection testing that enables the control and operation of the F6000 Family of Power System Simulators. The instrument models supported are F6150, F6150A, and the F6300 external high-power current amplifier. Next version will support F2253. Protection Suite provides almost full functionality of Doble’s ProTesT software, including the ability to convert existing ProTesT databases into Protection Suite format. Databases created under ProTest version 2.03 and higher are candidates for conversions to Protection Suite format. Protection Suite version 1.0 software is a product of continuing development from Doble and takes into account the various suggestion and ideas from our clients.. Protection Web 1.0General Description Protection Web 1.0 is software intended for clients who wish to use Web Services for storing the ProTesT data in a central server. The central server can be located on the client premises or hosted by Doble Engineering Company. However, hosting at Doble will incur cost and will involve time to configure and set up the servers. Users within the Company can access the data for purposes of testing, running queries for preparing NERC reports, and messaging/notifications. For effectively managing the protection assets of your Company, the software provides several features. These features will help in consolidating the test data in one place. For a regimented testing program, all users with appropriate privileges can download the data for a specific substation on to their computers and then run tests on various relays or on protections systems. Once the tests are completed the data can be uploaded to the server and the data will be synchronized. The query part of the software allows easy access to consolidated data all in one place and hence, reduces the time and effort required to collect all relevant data required for preparing NERC reports. The Messaging/Notification part of the software will enable propagation of important messages to all Protection Web users within the Company. These notifications can apply to upgrading of firmware on specific relays, conducting tests on specific relays, etc. This makes the management of protection assets easy and effective resulting in uniform implementation across the entire Company. F2250 Firmware 4.19 UpgradeF2250-4.19.zip contains all the necessary files to perform a firmware upgrade for the F225x Family of Power system Simulators. The file contains the floaddos application for sending files to the F225x as well as the necessary firmware update files. There is also a ReadMe.txt file that contains instructions on how to correctly use these files to create a succesful firmware upgrade. F6x Firmware 2.23 and 4.27F6000 firmware, versions 2.23 and 4.27 corrects problems with the earlier versions and adds new features. Firmware version 2.23 supports the CPU1 F6000 instruments and Firmware version 4.27 supports the CPU2 F6000 instruments. The CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector and CPU2 instruments contain a 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector. Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware version 2.23 and 4.27 are recommended for the following Doble software revisions
Please note that earlier software versions may have compatibility issues and some features may not function properly. Each zip file contains a copy of the Marketing Release notice and 3 firmware files. One for the F6150 and F6150A instruments labeled “F6150.pkg”. A second for the F6300 instruments labeled “F6300.pkg”. A third for F6150 instruments with specially modified Analog Input Boards labeled “F6350.pkg”. F6x Firmware 4.29.3F6000 firmware versions 4.29.3 adds features, notably IEC61850 GSE improvements and capability to configure the start delay of an F6150 (A) instrument. It corrects the issue with firmware version 4.28.2 related to the test set starting one second before the specified GO AT time. The adjustable start delay (-1 second to +2 second) will be very helpful during end to end testing with different start delay on instruments located at the other end. Please review the marketing release notice for the list of features and fixed problems. Version 4.29.3 supports only the CPU2 F6000 instruments. CPU2 instruments contain 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector/s while the older CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector. F6x Firmware 4.29.4Firmware 4.29.4 rectifies a minor calibration issue with current released Firmware version 4.29.3. The issue with 4.29.3 is as follows: When F6080 calibrator is used to calibrate a F6150 test set with firmware 4.29.3 installed on it, the calibration can result in a wider tolerance band of as high as +/- 0.18 percent for voltage channels only. The guaranteed accuracy of F6150 is +/- 0.09 percent. Current channels are not impacted. Even though this deviation does not have any significant impact on testing protective relays but we have to bring this within the guaranteed +/- 0.09 percent tolerance band. With that in view, we are releasing firmware version 4.29.4 which corrects this problem. If you determine that the F6150s with firmware 4.29.3 that have been calibrated at your facility using F6080 should be re-calibrated, we recommend that you download this new firmware version, flash it on the F6150s and recalibrate your F6150s. F6150s that have been calibrated at Doble facility do not fall under this category and are not affected. F6150 users who do not calibrate their F6150s using F6080 do not have to install this new version of firmware right away. The older F1650 units had one Ethernet port and one RS232 port. The Ethernet ports on the new F6150 units do not require a crossover cable for communication. The USB port on the F6150 will make it easier to communicate in a serial mode without having to use an external RS232-USB adapter. The USB port on the F6150 will be functional once you load the driver that is provided below in the USB-Driver.zip file. The cable needed for communicating via USB port is provided with the new F6150 units and also with retrofit kits required for performing the replacement of the old front panel with the new ones.
