DESCRIPTION:The webinar will introduce the audience to the key concepts behind the technology used for measuring partial discharges. It will start with a general overview of the basic theory of partial discharges, followed by an explanation of the Phase Resolved Partial Discharge pattern and T-F Map, including how these are derived from the signal management. Subsequently, the SID measurement method — Separation, Identification, and Diagnosis—will be covered, along with techniques for noise rejection and sensitivity enhancement. The webinar will conclude with a laboratory demonstration video showcasing the application of this diagnostic technology and its effectiveness in real – field scenarios.\nSPEAKER: Sofia Gandolfi- Service Engineer, Doble Engineering\n\nS. Gandolfi, graduated in Electrical Engineering at University of Bologna, has held the position of field service engineer since 2023 at Techimp, part of Doble Engineering, acquiring experience in partial discharge tests on different HV and MV assets such as cables, generators, transformers, and GIS systems. In parallel, she has been responsible for the installation and commissioning of online monitoring systems, which are essential for the health assessment and management of HV and MV assets.
