This training is designed for engineers and technicians involved with relay protection. Current transformers are the eyes and ears of relay protection. Incorrect selection of size and class can be catastrophic.
This two-hour seminar will take you through the basics of current transformers, current transformer saturation due to ac and dc offset currents, selection of appropriate class and ratio to assure proper relay operation.
You will take away a sound understanding of current transformer selection, saturation due to ac and dc offset currents, classification, and interpreting the saturation curves. This will enable you to move forward confidently with protection related projects including troubleshooting system events.
