Our hearts go out to those in our global community who have been affected by the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We understand this is an incredibly difficult time for everyone. We are deeply committed to doing our part in slowing the spread of the virus and protecting the well-being of our staff, customers, partners and community.
Health and safety is our utmost priority. Keeping the power grid up and running during these difficult times is also essential. As a provider of essential diagnostic equipment and services to Critical Infrastructure Utilities, we recognize the key role we play in ensuring the resiliency of our infrastructure and minimizing disruption to critical operations, especially when these functions and services are needed most.
To that end, our laboratories and instrumentation facilities in the U.S. and Canada will remain open to enable electric utilities to conduct testing procedures and ensure the reliable and safe delivery of power. While we’ve restricted face-to-face meetings and travel, our service and support teams are fully available in a remote capacity and will travel when needed for an urgent infrastructure issue. Please feel free to reach out to them by email and phone as you would normally.
We’re taking several additional and proactive measures to mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19. These include enabling approximately 75% of our team members to work remotely. The remaining personnel whose job function requires them to be at our facility have been divided two alternating teams that work separate shifts. We are actively following recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and health department to minimize potential exposure within our facilities. We will continue to take actions that protect our community and employees.
Addressing supply chain concerns
Our business continuity plan is in full effect.
Doble and all our affiliated brands – Morgan Schaffer, Vanguard Instruments and Manta Test Systems – are proactively monitoring this situation and evaluating and mitigating our supply chain risk in real time. We have identified a small number of specific at-risk components and have avoided any near-term disruption by engaging alternative suppliers.
Our analysis shows that we are well-positioned to avoid disruptions and deliver solutions to our customers when they need them. We will keep you informed should there be any changes.
We will remain flexible to meet your needs throughout this challenging time. For over a century, our mission has been to ensure all people have reliable, safe and secure energy – and that will not change.
Please check back frequently as we will share COVID-19 updates here.
As always, we’re in this together. Stay well everyone.
Sincerely,
Bryan Sayler
