Knowledge is what helps you make informed decisions. That’s why Doble hosts technical conferences, seminars, user group meetings and participates in power industry events. We bring a century of knowledge and expertise to these educational opportunities, establishing a community of learners who exchange best practices, share knowledge and define the future of our industry.
Education is one of Doble’s founding principles. We are committed to your professional development and are proud to be an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a member of the International Organization of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), an ANSI Standard.
This Application and Testing Electro-Mechanical and Microprocessor Relays course covers the testing of distance, differential, rate of change of frequency, loss of field, reverse power and synchronizing relays. The course will start with intermediate level instruction on the construction and principles of electro-mechanical /microprocessor relays, including different components of the relay that need calibration and adjustments as part of testing. A brief description of the relays’ operating principles will also be presented, followed by hands-on testing of the relays using Doble relay test sets.Find out more »

This Transformer Protection course is intended for both engineers and technicians involved with application of transformer protection relays that are used to protect an extremely valuable asset.
Transformer protection and differential protection in particular is complicated due to different voltage levels and angular shifts of voltage and currents when dealing with delta-wye transformers. The differential protection applied at transformers must also be able to correctly differentiate between transformer inrush and an actual internal fault.
