Doble Engineering, a global leader of diagnostic test solutions and an ESCO Technologies, Inc. owned company (NYSE: ESE), has expanded its global footprint by opening a new office in Dubai, UAE.
The office offers Doble’s full consulting and testing services, as well as sales and technical support for Doble’s suite of diagnostic test equipment. Currently, Doble products are distributed through 20 channel partners in the region.
“Our customers in the Middle East and North Africa are doing exciting work to meet fast-rising demands for electric power. The rich diversity of market segments in the region poses a unique challenge for the electric power industry — helping those customers is a top priority for Doble,” said David Zabetakis, President of Doble. “We have worked with clients in MENA for decades and are pleased to deepen our support for them. As this market grows in complexity, the need to maintain critical assets and continue to educate local engineers develops as well.”
In addition to the Dubai office, in 2015 Doble will bring its industry-leading Life of a Transformer™ conference to the Middle East for the first time, following noted success in the USA and Europe. The conference will be held from January 18-21, 2015, with an optional fifth day for laboratory diagnostics training, and an agenda that considers the specific needs of the region. For more information, please visit the event website.
Life of a Transformer™ conferences will also be held in San Antonio, TX, USA in February and Lyon, France in May of 2015. This marks the 13th and 3rd occurrences of the event, respectively. The training seminar provides electric power professionals with the most up-to-date information on how transformers are designed, how to manage critical health risks and how to effectively analyze data provided by test equipment.
In addition to its full product portfolio, the Doble Dubai office brings several critical consulting and testing services, such as Asset Health Reviews (AHR) to help companies manage transformer fleet reliability, while ensuring maximum safety and avoiding costly failures.
Located in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Doble Engineering JLT has been established as a limited liability company in Dubai and is currently open for business. Mourad Hamdi, the General Manager of the Middle East office will be running day-to-day operations at Doble JLT. Hamdi joined Doble Engineering Company in August 2012, with more than nine years of experience in the transformer and switchgear manufacturing and utility sectors.
Two new technical application engineers have also been hired to work in the Dubai office and support clients.
This news comes shortly after Doble announced its newly expanded relationship with National Grid Saudi Arabia, which includes a comprehensive transformer condition assessment program.
