Events Overview

Doble Engineering Company, through its conferences, seminars, trade show appearances, and user group meetings, provides a forum for the mutual exchange of information, experience, and knowledge regarding testing, maintenance, and operation of electric power systems.

With the company motto "Together We Power the World," Doble Engineering considers the gathering and sharing of electric industry information to be one of its highest priorities. This focus is reinforced by Doble's position as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) and a member of the International Organization of Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

Doble offers Continuing Education Credits at Doble hosted Seminars and Conferences that meet IACET standards. This provides the opportunity for Doble clients and event participants alike to further their career education. Continuing Education credits are widely accepted by colleges and educational institutions as official credits toward professional licensing requirements and degree programs. As the organization's name implies, the CEUs can be offered for classes held anywhere in the world, provided the event meets IACET criteria.

Technical Conferences

Doble holds regularly scheduled Client Conferences around the world. These conferences are among the most valuable events in the world for the electric power industry.

The International Conference of Doble Clients
Utility participants responsible for maintaining the reliable delivery of electric power gather from around the world to exchange valuable knowledge and experience in the vital sector of electrical apparatus ownership, operation and maintenance.

The September Client Conference and Committee Meetings
Clients and members of the nine Doble Client Committees from utilities worldwide attend the September Meetings to exchange information and experiences with one primary objective: to continue to make power apparatus performance as reliable as possible. This is also the planning session for Doble's International Conference of Doble Clients.

EuroDoble Colloquium
An opportunity for Doble's International clients to come together and exchange their valuable experiences with the industry. Presentations are made by key specialists from the area where the event is held (location changes each year), but with interaction from all participants in order to achieve a rounded consensus in all areas.

Latin American Client Conference
Doble's Latin American utility delegates come together to network and discuss apparatus maintenance and failure issues. Presentations and tutorials are given on both apparatus maintenance and protection topics.

Brazil Client Conference
A forum for Doble's Brazilian utility clients to discuss maintenance, acceptance and testing of new apparatus and the operation of electric systems.

Other Doble annual events include Regional Seminars, Training and Laboratory Diagnostic Seminars.

User Group Meetings

Doble User Group Meetings provide clients with an opportunity to exchange valuable information and experiences. It is also a forum to provide input and feedback to Doble, in order to enhance product quality and user experience. The TRX, SFRA and DTA User Groups meet twice a year in conjunction with the Doble Spring and Fall Meetings. Protection clients may wish to participate in the ProTesT User Group, which takes place in conjunction with the Fall Client Committee Meetings. Doble also sponsors an Australasian Protection User Group Meeting.

Seminars & Training

Throughout the year, Doble offers Regional Seminars and Client Service training around the country. Attendees are given classroom instruction on theory and technique, as well as hands-on field-testing and analysis of test results.

Lab Seminars

These interactive seminars, held at various locations, combine theoretical background with practical experience and examples. Case Studies are used to illustrate the types of problems found in the field. Doble Lab Seminars are offered in one day, one and one-half day, as well as 2-day programs.
