Events Overview

For the past 80 years, Doble has helped keep electric power flowing safely and consistently while avoiding costly failures. With technical conferences, seminars, user group meetings and trade show appearances, Doble facilitates the exchange of best practices and critical knowledge.

Doble considers the gathering and sharing of electric industry information to be one of its highest priorities. This focus is reinforced by Doble's position as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a member of the International Organization of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), an ANSI Standard.

Doble offers CEUs at Doble hosted Seminars and Conferences that meet IACET standards. This provides the opportunity for Doble clients and event participants alike to further their career education. Continuing Education Units are widely accepted by colleges and educational institutions as official credits toward professional licensing requirements and degree programs. As the organization's name implies, CEUs can be offered for classes held anywhere in the world provided the event meets IACET criteria.

Technical Conferences

Doble holds regularly scheduled Client Conferences around the world. These conferences are among the most valuable events in the world for the electric power industry.

The International Conference of Doble Clients
Participants responsible for maintaining the reliable delivery of electric power gather from around the world to exchange valuable knowledge and experience in the vital sector of electrical apparatus ownership, operation and maintenance.

The Doble Client Committee Meetings and Conference
Clients from utility, testing and industrial companies worldwide attend the Client Committee Meetings to exchange information and experiences with one primary objective: to continue to make power apparatus performance as reliable as possible. This is also the planning session for the International Conference of Doble Clients.

EuroDoble Colloquium
An opportunity for Doble's European Clients to come together and exchange their valuable experiences with the industry. Presentations are made by key specialists from the area where the event is held (location changes each year), but with interaction from all participants in order to achieve a rounded consensus in all areas.

Latin American Client Conference
Doble's Latin American utility delegates network and discuss apparatus maintenance and failure issues. Presentations and tutorials are given in Spanish on both apparatus maintenance and protection topics.

Brazil Client Conference
A forum for Doble's Brazilian utility clients to discuss maintenance, acceptance and testing of new apparatus and the operation of electric systems.

User Group Meetings

Doble User Group Meetings provide clients with an opportunity to exchange valuable information and experiences. It is also a forum to provide input and feedback to Doble in order to enhance product quality and user experience. The Circuit Breaker Timing User Group, DTA Software User Group and the SFRA User Group meet twice a year in conjunction with the International Conference of Doble Clients and the Doble Client Committee Meetings & Conference.

Protection clients may wish to participate in the International Protection Testing Users Group (PTUG) Meeting which takes place in conjunction with the Doble Client Committee Meetings & Conference. Doble also sponsors an Australasian Protection User Group Meeting.

Seminars & Training

Regional Seminars and Client Service Training
Throughout the year, Doble offers Regional Seminars and Client Service training around the country. Attendees are given classroom instruction on theory and technique as well as hands-on field-testing and analysis of test results.

The "Revolutionary Machines" Seminar is a comprehensive look at design, construction, application, operation protection, failure modes and repair of large motors and generators. The Seminar covers all aspects of the design, manufacturing and application of generators along with synchronous and induction motors, rotors and stators. "Life of a Transformer" Seminar Focus Group
Focus Groups have been added to the "Life of a Transformer" Seminar in every morning and afternoon period.  Learn something new in an intense, relevant format. These focused sessions will allow for more in-depth discussion on the most important topics facing our attendees in the day-to-day performance of their duties related to transformers.  Interact with our panel of experts and your industry colleagues while discussing anything and everything that you want to know about transformers.
