The advent of the IEC 61850 standard is replacing point-to-point copper wiring with ethernet in substations. New skills and tools are required to test the so-called digital substation. This webinar will take the attendee through a brief introduction to the IEC 61850 standard, an explanation of simulate mode and test mode concepts, and a demonstration of digital substation testing using commercially available tools.
